This was submitted for  the “Worst Visual Novel Ever” Challenge 2025. It is bad and infuriating on purrrpose.

If crashes happen, just quit and restart the game again to continue the story.

STORY

Once upon a time… A little newb was part of a team making a game jam visual novel. But shit hits the fan. And now they’re the only one who can FIXIT. From the ashes of a dead project, just like a phoenix, the most *unique* VN is (re)born!

Somewhere, in another pixelated world…

Butler MC is just doing his job: serving the always bickering human FL & vampire ML of his world and trying to make them make out for them to make up, to save his job so he can make it out of here himself in one piece.

But, one day… He opened his eyes, but *something* had changed. An insistent ghost now follows him around, obsessed with the mission of drawing all missing assets and reaching the true ending of the story he's in.

TLDR:

A VN about failing to make a VN and exploiting the player to finish it instead.

FEATURING:

- *Unique* setting that’s never been done before: supposedly a 19^th century vampire, where nothing in the design makes historically any sense. Just throw your brain out of the window and say it's an alternate world.

- Acronyms vomit: I hope you know your VN vocab, coz this dev ain’t gonna explain it.

- Gallery of all your bootiful drawings to admire, print on teacups and send to your family and friends for Xmas

- Become the VN jack-of-all-trades (but master of none) you’ve always wanted to be:

• Drawing minigames: Finish the work the OG Sprite artist didn’t have time to finish (or start)! And the backgrounds too!

- Switch PoV faster than switching dishes in an all-you-can-eat buffet: Ever wanted to transplant yourself in another body? Now you can! Begin the story as hopeful dev. Finish it as overworked Butler. Break the 4^th wall, enter the 2D dimension! Don’t mind the neologism. What is even 1^st person, 2^nd person or 3^rd person PoV? Is it eatable?

- 5 endings + 1 true ending. You'll know you've reached it when you do.

- Reach the true HE to help the dev finally RIP.

- 10-15k words to paddle through

- Typos and unfunny jokes but that’s a given

- Bugs that may or may not be known because QA is not part of a Worst VN ethics.

NB: If the game crashes, just reopen it. Maybe you’ll end up in another dimension.

- Organically made by a living, breathing human.

- Tone-deaf OSTs and sound FX with specially made songs for the occasion
